About Elite Edge

At Elite Edge we teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing, Karate, MMA, and to keep you looking and feeling your best we have our Lean Body Boot Camp.

At the core of our grappling system are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Folk Style Wrestling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling art that was made famous by the legendary Gracie family. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on submitting your opponent and using angles, leverage, and superior body positioning to control an opponent’s body movement. This style allows for a smaller person to defeat a much larger attacker. Jiu-Jitsu is excellent for women who are often taken to the ground during assaults.

We also recommend Jiu-Jitsu for men, women, and children looking for a great workout and realistic self-defense. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is similar and, in some cases, both supplementary and complementary to the Olympic Sport Wrestling. At Elite Edge, we know that it is not only important to dominate our opponent on the ground, but also on our feet. So in our Grappling classes we combine the submission holds of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with the dominating control and takedown’s of Collegiate Wrestling.

At Elite Edge our striking program consists of Boxing and Thai Kickboxing because of experience. Experience competing and many years of training in a variety of different striking arts taught us about what works and what doesn’t. Students interested in concentrating on full contact stand-up techniques and wanting to get in the best shape of their life should look no further than our highly effective striking program. Muay Thai is the National Sport of Thailand and has already gained popularity and recognition in the US and internationally. There are five major components to Thai Boxing: (1) Punches, (2) Kicks, (3) Knees, (4) Elbows, and (5) Clinching.

At Elite Edge we take Special care to ensure our students learn proper form and body mechanics to eliminate injuries while training. For our beginners we focus on the physical conditioning and cardiovascular benefits of Thai Boxing while learning effective self-defense strategies at the same time. For our more advanced clients we focus on furthering the development of an individual through either competition and/further developing and refining skills.

Traditional martial arts include Japanese/Okinawan karate . Karate classes are based on age and offered twice per week. They are concentrated, fun, and challenging for all ages. Karate is an effective defense-based art form that includes a variety of striking, throwing, and locking techniques for use against multiple assailants and weapons.

Training is offered in structured group classes, through private instruction, and at on-site workshops and seminars. We offer specialized introductory classes for each program for beginning students. Corporations, organizations, law enforcement, military, and college students get special pricing.
